Western France hit by rare series of earthquakes.
A 5.8 magnitude earthquake hit La Laigne village in Charente-Maritime, France, causing cracks in many houses and forcing the evacuation of around 500 residents. Dozens of houses have been declared uninhabitable, and 170 people need to be rehoused. The church is completely unusable, and the school will have to be closed as a precaution.
