China Warns Estonia Against Opening Taiwan Office
China has urged Estonia to refrain from allowing Taiwan to open any official organizations in the country, following reports that the Chinese ambassador threatened to leave Estonia if Taiwan establishes a representative office there. China insists that Estonia abide by the one-China principle and safeguard the political basis of bilateral relations. Taiwan's Foreign Ministry stated that discussions are still ongoing regarding the establishment of a representative office in Estonia, and no consensus has been reached yet. China claims Taiwan as its own territory, while Taiwan's government rejects this claim.
