FBI Revokes Security Clearances of Agents Involved in Jan. 6 Attack and Whistleblower Controversy
The FBI has revoked the security clearances of three agents, one of whom was among the pro-Trump mob at the U.S. Capitol, and the other two are alleged to have hindered investigative efforts related to the Jan. 6 attack. Two of the agents are expected to testify before the Republican-led House select subcommittee on Weaponization of the Federal Government. The letter from the FBI to congressional investigators could lead to a contentious hearing and provide fresh ammunition to Democrats as they attempt to undercut the credibility of the committee's witnesses.
