Bed Bath & Beyond secures $120M deal to avoid bankruptcy and restock shelves.
Bed Bath & Beyond has partnered with Hilco Global on a $120 million vendor consignment program with ReStore Capital to keep merchandise on the shelves and avoid filing for bankruptcy. ReStore Capital will buy up to $120 million in merchandise from key suppliers to augment the retailer’s inventory of products sold at Bed Bath & Beyond and BuyBuy BABY. The move is part of an effort to stabilize the retailer’s inventory, which has been strained due to poor financial quarters and tightened vendor terms.
