
Retired NYPD cops foil attempted arson at MLK Jr.'s birth home
Retired NYPD officers Kenneth and Axel Dodson, visiting the birth home of Martin Luther King Jr. in Atlanta, sprang into action when they heard about an attempted arson. They chased down and captured the alleged arsonist, bringing her back to the scene. The Dodson brothers, along with other bystanders, likely saved the historic home from burning to the ground. The woman, a US Navy veteran, was arrested and charged with attempted arson and interference with government property. The Dodson brothers were honored with Outstanding Citizens Awards by the NYPD for their bravery and dedication.
