Rodney Milstreed, a Capitol rioter who attacked an AP photographer and police officers during the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol, has been sentenced to five years in prison. Prosecutors revealed that Milstreed had injected steroids and armed himself with a four-foot wooden club disguised as a flagpole, stating that he had prepared himself for battle. Milstreed pleaded guilty to assault charges and possessing an unregistered firearm. He expressed remorse for his actions and acknowledged the wrongfulness of his behavior. Over 1,100 people have been charged with Jan. 6-related federal crimes, with more than 650 of them sentenced to imprisonment.
