AEW's The Butcher Andy Williams dies at 48 after in-ring collapse
Former AEW wrestler Andy Williams, best known as The Butcher, died at age 48 after collapsing at an indie show in Millvale, PA. Williams was performing with his longtime partner The Blade when he went down; CPR was given by Enjoy Wrestling medical staff before he was taken to the hospital, where TMZ reported his death. Williams had been a prominent early AEW act alongside Blade and Bunny, later appearing mainly in ROH, with contracts reportedly expiring in June. He also played guitar in the band Every Time I Die.
