Tragic Crash Claims Life of 19-Year-Old Vermont Police Officer in Pursuit

A 19-year-old police officer in Rutland, Vermont, was killed in a crash while pursuing a suspect. The officer, Jessica Ebbighausen, was driving a cruiser when it was hit by a truck driven by the suspect. Ebbighausen had recently been hired by the Rutland Police Department and was set to begin her academy training. Two other officers were injured in the crash but their injuries are not life-threatening.
