Sooners' O-Line Gets a Double Boost as Maikkula Returns and Fodje Near Return
Oklahoma's offensive line got a double dose of good news: center Jake Maikkula is back at practice and could be limited for the UTEP opener after a sprained MCL, while Ryan Fodje, who moved to center due to Maikkula's injury, posted a negative MRI and is expected to be ready by Sept. 12 against Michigan. Maikkula's return would move Fodje back to right guard, preserving depth at guard and center as Caleb Nitta and Noah Best filled in during the brief absence, giving OU a stronger lineup for a brutal stretch of Michigan, Georgia and Texas.
