GM's Cruise Unit Cuts 24% of Workforce in Major Layoff Move
Cruise, the self-driving car company owned by General Motors, has laid off 24% of its workforce, amounting to 900 workers, following a series of safety mishaps and permit suspensions. The layoffs come after an incident in October where a self-driving Cruise vehicle collided with a woman and dragged her 20 feet after she had already been hit by another car.
