"Florida Launches New Year's Back-to-School Tax Holiday with Expanded Savings"
Florida is launching its 2024 Back-to-School Sales Tax Holiday from January 1 to January 14, offering tax exemptions on various items including clothing under $100, school supplies under $50, learning aids and puzzles under $30, and personal computers and accessories under $1,500 for noncommercial use. Exclusions apply to items over these price points, commercial purchases, rentals, repairs, and sales within certain venues. The Florida Retail Federation anticipates that the new January tax holiday will encourage shoppers to take advantage of additional savings.
