Utah Health Leader Angela Dunn Joins CDC
Dr. Angela Dunn, the executive director of the Salt Lake County Health Department, is resigning to join the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) after previously serving as Utah's state epidemiologist. Dunn, who led Utah through the early stages of the COVID-19 pandemic, will continue working with the county health department while helping ensure that state and local health departments across the country are equipped to respond to public health threats. Her departure on Feb. 16 will prompt the Salt Lake County Board of Health to begin the search for her replacement.
