Ex-NCB Officer Sameer Wankhede Booked for Extortion in Aryan Khan Case
The CBI has registered a corruption case against Sameer Wankhede, the former western region head of Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), and three others for allegedly extorting Rs 50 lakh from actor Shah Rukh Khan in the October 2021 cruise drug case involving his son Aryan Khan. Wankhede and the others are accused of demanding Rs 25 crore from the actor to clear his son of drug possession charges. The CBI had searched 29 locations in Mumbai, Delhi, Ranchi, Lucknow and Chennai, including Wankhede’s home in Goregaon West.
