Samsung 9100 Pro SSDs Drop to Launch Prices Amid NAND Price Surge
Samsung's flagship 9100 Pro SSDs are discounted significantly during Amazon's October Prime Big Deal Days, with the 1TB and 2TB models returning to near-launch prices. This relief comes amid a broader market trend where NAND flash memory prices have risen by nearly 200% over the past year due to AI-driven supply constraints. While the 1TB drive is now $206 and the 2TB is $349, higher-capacity 4TB and 8TB models remain well above their original launch costs. The sale offers a rare opportunity for consumers to upgrade storage before potential further price hikes, as analysts warn that supply shortages may persist through 2028.
