PM Modi lays foundation stone for Sant Ravidas temple, highlights Dalit empowerment
Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone for a temple-cum-memorial dedicated to Sant Ravidas, a mystic poet and social reformer, in Madhya Pradesh's Sagar district. The temple-cum-memorial, spread over 11 acres, will embody the teachings of Sant Ravidas and provide residential facilities for devotees, along with a museum and art gallery. This visit is part of the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party's ongoing 'Samrasta Yatras' ahead of the upcoming assembly polls in the state.
