Teen's Tragic Sawmill Accident Leads to Life-Saving Organ Donation for Mother
A 16-year-old Wisconsin teen, Michael Schuls, tragically died in a sawmill accident while trying to unjam a wood stacking machine. However, his legacy lives on as he was an organ donor, and his liver was a perfect match for his mother, saving her life. Additionally, seven or eight other families received life-saving organs from Michael. The community has rallied around the family, raising over $22,000 through a GoFundMe account and creating a scholarship in Michael's memory.
