Jury Deliberates Fate of Accused Limo Owner in Deadly Schoharie Crash Trial.
The trial of Nauman Hussain, the operator of the limousine company involved in the 2018 crash that killed 20 people, has reached its closing arguments. He is charged with 20 counts of manslaughter and criminally negligent homicide. The defense argued that the state police arrested the wrong person and that Mavis, the company responsible for inspecting the limo, should also be held accountable. The prosecution argued that Hussain had exclusive responsibility for maintaining and inspecting the vehicle and that Mavis had nothing to do with the cause of the accident. The jury is now deliberating.
