Average payout is about $106. The settlement requires clearer pricing, fair handling of security deposits, and other reforms after a 2024 lawsuit against the company.
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis signed a bill that allows landlords to offer renters the option of paying monthly fees instead of security deposits, though it is not required. The issue of security deposits not refunded by the team came to light during the Congressional investigation of the team, along with allegations of other financial irregularities.
