Brooklyn woman sentenced to 21 years for poisoning look-alike with cheesecake.
Viktoria Nasyrova, a Russian native from Brooklyn, has been sentenced to 21 years in prison for poisoning a woman who resembled her with sedative-laced cheesecake and stealing her identity. The victim survived the attack, but her passport and employment authorization card were missing when she returned home from the hospital. Phenazepam, a highly potent sedative, was found in residue on the cheesecake's container and in pills found next to the victim. Nasyrova was convicted of second degree murder, attempted assault in the first degree, and other related charges.
