Sixteen Regional Hosts Named for 2026 NCAA Baseball Tournament
The NCAA baseball selection committee on Sunday announced the 16 regional hosts for the 2026 NCAA Baseball Tournament, including Georgia, Georgia Tech, Auburn, Texas, North Carolina, Texas A&M, Oregon, Florida, Southern Miss, Kansas, Nebraska, UCLA, West Virginia, Mississippi State, Florida State and Alabama, with the bracket and seed order to be revealed Monday on ESPN2. Mississippi State earned the final hosting spot over Arkansas, a decision that could fuel debate over the weight of RPI versus the “eye test” as Selection Monday approaches, as several at-large cases remain sensitive to those metrics. Automatic bids from most conferences were already determined. The tournament is set to begin May 29.
