Trump Announces $90 Medicare Checks for 20 Million Seniors Amid Midterm Push
President Donald Trump announced on October 2 that his administration will send $90 checks to 20 million seniors to help cover Medicare Part B premiums. The funds are claimed to come from a 'Medicare Improvement Fund,' though legal authority for this diversion is unclear. This move follows recent cash promises and precedes the midterm elections, where Republicans face challenges due to economic concerns.
