American tourist arrested for fatal assault near Neuschwanstein Castle in Germany.
A 21-year-old female tourist has died and her 22-year-old companion is in hospital with serious injuries after being attacked by a 30-year-old American tourist near Neuschwanstein Castle in southern Germany. The man is being investigated on suspicion of murder, attempted murder and a sexual offence. The women encountered the man on a trail near the Marienbrücke, who brought them to a hidden trail leading to a viewpoint. The man attacked the 21-year-old and when the 22-year-old intervened, the man choked her and pushed her down a steep slope.
