A multistate outbreak of Salmonella Enteritidis linked to recalled shell eggs produced by Midwest Poultry Services has sickened dozens across 17 states, prompting a recall of about 1.59 million dozen eggs sold under brands including Country Morning, Cal‑Maze Sunups, Brookshire’s, Simple Truth and Kroger. The eggs were produced in Texas between June 6 and July 3, 2026.
