Spider-Noir Ends Its Run on Prime Video After One Season
Prime Video has canceled Spider-Noir, the Nicolas Cage-led live-action take on Spider-Man Noir, after one season. The show was the second series under a multi-title deal with Sony Pictures Television, and though it earned strong critic and audience reception and multiple Emmy nominations, high production costs (including color and black-and-white versions) and cost-per-view factors led Amazon to pass on a renewal, while continuing development on other Sony/Marvel IP projects. Season 1 largely tells a complete story, with a few threads left to potentially explore in future installments under the broader deal.
