Hubble Telescope Captures Mesmerizing Dance of Spiral Galaxy
The Hubble Space Telescope has captured a face-on view of the Spanish Dancer galaxy, also known as NGC 1566, located in the Dorado constellation about 60 million light-years away from Earth. The galaxy features two distinct spiral arms that span over 100,000 light-years, resembling a dancer's moving form. The image shows bright blue star clusters, pinkish star-forming regions, and swirling interstellar dust. NGC 1566 is a weakly-barred intermediate spiral galaxy and belongs to the Dorado galaxy group, which contains around 70 galaxies.
