Minecraft Movie Sequel Gets Squared, Fans Invited to Build It
Warner Bros announced a Minecraft movie sequel titled A Minecraft Movie: Squared, with Jared returning to direct and a cast led by Jason Momoa, Jack Black, Danielle Brooks, Matt Berry, Jennifer Coolidge, and Kirsten Dunst. The Legendary co-production is dated July 23, 2027, and fans can enter The Minecraft Movie Build Challenge for a chance to have their build appear in the film or end credits; Builder Cape details run through June 14 on TikTok, Minecraft and Twitch, with a July 6 submission deadline, in a Microsoft-sponsored contest, as distribution plans may hinge on the Warner Bros-Discovery merger.
