China's iPhone Ban Spreads, Apple Shares Plummet
Chinese agencies and state-backed companies are reportedly instructing their employees to not bring Apple iPhones and other foreign devices to work, as part of China's ongoing efforts to reduce reliance on foreign technologies. Multiple state firms and government departments across at least eight provinces have issued directives for employees to start using local brands. This follows previous reports of ministries and government bodies instructing staff not to use iPhones at work. Apple has not yet responded to requests for comment.
