Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has been promoting his state's conservative agenda and low taxes as a model for the rest of the country, but he has encountered pushback from fellow Republican governors who believe their states have done just as much, if not more, to advance conservative policies. While DeSantis has boasted about Florida's successes, he has also tried to find common ground with his audiences and soften his pitch.
