Steven Adler's Brother Stages Kidnapping to Aid in Heroin Recovery
Jamie Adler, younger brother of former Guns N’ Roses drummer Steven Adler, kidnapped his brother and held him hostage for 30 days in 2007 to help him kick his drug dependency. Steven had battled heroin addiction for decades, leading to his firing from Guns N' Roses in 1990. Jamie risked jail time in hopes of saving his brother's life and recruited then-former GN'R guitarist Slash to help. Steven eventually straightened out, but the incident left an open wound in their brotherhood.
