CNN CEO Chris Licht's Departure Sparks Uncertainty for Network's Future
CNN CEO Chris Licht has been ousted from his position after a tumultuous year leading the struggling news network, culminating in a damning magazine profile and low employee morale. CNN parent company Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav accepted some of the blame for the network's struggles and appointed a four-person interim leadership team while promising a thorough search for a replacement. Licht had a mandate to make CNN more palatable to both sides of the country's political divide, but some at the network saw his mandate for change as a repudiation of their past work.
