Multiple Incidents on Sunrise Highway: Police Officer Injured and Roads Submerged in Floodwater
A police officer in Suffolk County was injured when his car was hit by a commercial van on Sunrise Highway while he was patrolling traffic due to flooding near Carleton Avenue. The officer was airlifted to South Shore University Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, and the other individual involved was also taken to the hospital as a precaution.
