A shooting outside a Cleveland Sunoco gas station on Saturday evening resulted in the death of a 32-year-old man, identified as Tyrone Hipps. The police have not made any arrests in connection with the shooting, and the investigation is ongoing.
7-Eleven Inc. is set to acquire 204 Stripes convenience stores and Laredo Taco Company restaurants from Sunoco LP for approximately $1 billion, expanding its presence across West Texas, New Mexico, and Oklahoma. This acquisition will add to 7-Eleven's existing portfolio of over 13,000 stores in the United States and Canada. The transaction is expected to close after meeting regulatory requirements, and Sunoco plans to use the proceeds to reduce leverage and pursue future growth opportunities. With this deal, 7-Eleven will own and operate all Stripes and Laredo Taco Company locations nationwide.
