Over 100,000 surplus M14 rifles to hit civilian market after permanent semi-auto conversion
The Civilian Marksmanship Program will sell more than 100,000 surplus U.S. Army M14 rifles to eligible U.S. citizens starting in January, permanently converting them to semiautomatic and limiting purchases to two per person; rifles will be priced around $2,000, with some kept for operational/ceremonial use. Proceeds fund CMP programs, and a limited number of refurbished shotguns will also be offered.
