According to royal author Tom Bower, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are reportedly planning to drop their Sussex titles and use Princess Diana's maiden name, Spencer, as their surname in a bid to align with Diana. Bower claims that Meghan has always been passionate about being like Diana and that Harry is on board with the idea of taking his mother's name. The couple's children, Archie and Lilibet, currently use the surname Mountbatten-Windsor, but may also adopt the Spencer name.
