Controversy Surrounds Coronation Concert with Last Minute Cancellations and Shortened Performances.
The BBC's "Coronation Concert" celebrating the ascension of King Charles III was a lackluster affair, with many A-listers declining to perform and the assembled ensemble failing to impress. The concert was filled with arbitrary performances and "interactions" that felt trivial and unmemorable, with the exception of Lionel Richie's "All Night Long." The event was a missed opportunity for the new monarch to rebrand the royal family and left much to be desired.
