
Philadelphia Towing Company Busted in $8.2 Million Catalytic Converter Theft Ring
A catalytic converter theft ring based at TDI Towing in Port Richmond, Philadelphia has been busted, resulting in nearly a dozen arrests and charges. The operation, worth millions, involved thieves selling stolen catalytic converters for their expensive and precious metals. Bucks County District Attorney Matt Weintraub is urging victims to come forward for possible reimbursement of repair costs. The theft ring allegedly paid a minimum of $10,000 per night to thieves, totaling nearly $8.2 million over the past three years.
