Investigation Launched into Russell Brand's Alleged Misconduct and BBC's Response
The BBC is "urgently looking into the issues" raised by allegations of sexual assault made against former employee Russell Brand, who denies the accusations. The allegations, including rape, were published by the Sunday Times and aired on Channel 4. Banijay UK, the production company behind a show hosted by Brand, has launched an internal investigation, while women's charity Trevi and talent agency Tavistock Wood have ended their association with him. The Metropolitan Police has not received any reports related to the allegations.
