Father Unmasked as Killer in 1981 Cold Case Murder of Alexander Siblings
The Texarkana Arkansas Police Department has identified Weldon Alexander, the father of the Alexander siblings, as the sole suspect in their brutal 1981 murder. Karen, 14, and Gordon Alexander, 13, were stabbed multiple times with a butter knife in their home. Karen's injuries indicated she was a victim of sexual assault. The case remained unsolved for over 42 years until new evidence, including semen stains on the bedding, led investigators to Weldon Alexander. He had reported finding his son deceased and his daughter alive, but evidence suggests he likely sexually assaulted Karen before leaving for work. Weldon Alexander died in 2014, and the case has now been resolved.
