HBO has ordered a five-episode limited series titled The Trial of Louise Woodward, starring Meghann Fahy, with Matthew Barry as creator/showrunner/writer and Susanne Bier as executive producer and director for all episodes. The project, from Big Light Productions, tells the 1997 case that sparked a global media firestorm, with production kicking off in August for an expected 2027 release, and additional producers including Frank Spotnitz and Emily Feller.
