Jan. 6 Rioters Sentenced to Jail Time in Multiple States
Thomas B. Adams Jr. has been sentenced to 14 months in prison for his involvement in the U.S. Capitol riot on January 6, 2021. Adams was found guilty of obstruction of an official proceeding and aiding and abetting entering, both felonies, and remaining in a restricted building or grounds, a misdemeanor. He entered the Senate chamber and took pictures with his cellphone while holding a President Donald Trump flag. Adams was also ordered to pay a $2,000 restitution fine and 36 months supervised releasing.
