Postmates founder Bastian Lehmann has launched a new startup called TipTop, which aims to make it easier and more lucrative for people to sell their used products. The first app, TipTop Cash, connects to users' Gmail or Amazon accounts to scan for past purchases and predict a fair value to offer for each eligible item. TipTop plans to resell the inventory to wholesalers or on third-party marketplaces. Lehmann hopes to create a liquid market where owners know how much money they're getting, buyers understand the price they're paying, and TipTop gets a cut. The app also plans to launch a service called TipTop Pay, which will offer discounts on purchases in exchange for returning the product after a fixed period of time.
