Hogan's deadly fentanyl regimen during TNA years revealed in Netflix docuseries
In the Netflix docuseries Hulk Hogan: Real American, Hogan details extreme fentanyl use to cope with pain during his TNA years (2009–2013): two 80‑mg doses each morning, two 300‑mg patches on his legs, and six 1500‑mg fentanyl lollipops, with a staff member noting, “You should be dead.” He also described nearly bed‑ridden pain from multiple surgeries and sleeping in a chair. The piece notes that his TNA stint helped save him financially, that his final match there was in 2012, and that he died at 71 in July 2025 after postoperative complications.
