West Ham Secures Double Signing: Maguire and Ward-Prowse

West Ham has reached agreements to sign Manchester United defender Harry Maguire for around £30 million and Southampton midfielder James Ward-Prowse as a replacement for Declan Rice. Maguire has fallen out of favor at United and has been given permission to talk to West Ham, although he is not completely sold on the move. West Ham is yet to meet United's £40 million valuation for Scott McTominay. Maguire, who joined United in 2019 for £80 million, is seeking playing time to secure his place in England's national team for Euro 2024.

Ange Postecoglou's appointment as Tottenham's new manager will see the team line up in a new formation from the 2023/24 season onwards, with a switch to a back four raising questions over a number of transfer deals completed for Antonio Conte. Postecoglou's system involves inverted full-backs, which allows his team to create an overload in the middle of the pitch and cause their opponents a real headache. Players such as Ivan Perisic, Destiny Udogie, Djed Spence, Pedro Porro, and Ben Davies will be given new instructions when they return to pre-season training.
