President Biden announced his intent to nominate Tracey Ann Jacobson as Ambassador to Iraq and Patrick J. Fuchs as a Member of the Surface Transportation Board. Jacobson, a career member of the Senior Foreign Service, has served in various leadership roles overseas and within the State Department. Fuchs, who has been a Member of the Surface Transportation Board since January 2019, has advanced transportation policies and played a key role in significant railroad legislation. The White House will also continue renominating candidates, hoping for expeditious Senate action.
