Global Spread of Highly Mutated COVID Variant Raises Concerns
The UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) has reported the first case of the COVID-19 variant BA.2.86 in the country, with the individual having no recent travel history. This highly mutated variant has also been detected in Israel, Denmark, and the United States.
