YouTuber faces jail time for intentionally crashing plane for views and sponsorship deal.
YouTuber Trevor Jacob, who staged a plane crash for views, has agreed to plead guilty to one count of destruction and concealment with the intent to obstruct a federal investigation. The FAA had revoked his private pilot certificate after the incident. The crime carries a maximum sentence of 20 years in federal prison. The YouTuber admitted that he never intended to complete his solo flight and purposely destroyed the wreckage of the small single-engine plane that he crashed in California's Los Padres national forest in December 2021.
