Medaille University to close amid failed acquisition and challenging environment.
Medaille University in Buffalo, New York, will be closing on August 31 due to financial instability, declining enrollment, outstanding liabilities, and other challenges impacting higher education institutions. The school had terminated its integration deal with Trocaire College, which had planned to acquire Medaille. Medaille will work with students, faculty, and staff to assist them in finding new institutions or organizations. Students on track to finish their degrees before August 31 will be able to complete their academic careers at Medaille.
