
Fire forces evacuation of train in Tyrol tunnel, Austria.
A fire broke out on a sleeper train in a tunnel near Fritzens, Austria, prompting the evacuation of 151 passengers. The fire was caused by sparks from overhead cables that caught a cargo car on fire. 33 people sustained light injuries and were taken to nearby hospitals. Around 700 emergency services were dispatched to the scene. The train clearance was completed by 11 p.m. and those who did not need medical attention were taken back to Innsbruck.
