Faber halts UK distribution of Sally Rooney’s books over Palestine Action pledge
Irish novelist Sally Rooney has agreed with her publisher Faber to withdraw her books from sale in the UK. The decision follows Rooney’s pledge to support the proscribed group Palestine Action, which Faber says makes paying her royalties a potential criminal offense under UK terrorism laws. Existing stock may still be sold, but no new supplies will be distributed.
