Memphis Mom Charged in Murder Over Man Found Hiding Under Child's Bed
A Memphis mother, 36-year-old Kendra Scott, is charged with first-degree murder and firearm enhancements after police say she shot Rodderius Morton, a man reportedly hiding under her child’s bed. Morton, said to be unarmed, was found with a fatal gunshot wound on the front porch as he left the home, following an argument. A juvenile witness heard Scott yell and a police affidavit notes she told investigators she saw a man in the house and did what she had to do. Scott is being held without bond.
